Elena Benavente
Professor of Genetics at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Madrid)
Elena Benavente is a lecturer in genetics and plant breeding on the agronomy, agricultural sciences and biotechnology degree programmes at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
She is also a member of the Plant Genetic Improvement Research Group. The group’s main focus is the genetic analysis of baking quality and the development of pre-breeding materials using traditional Spanish soft wheat varieties.
